Homily: Information + Motivation | by Fr. Tony Cutcher | January 6, 2019

January 11, 2019

On the Feast of the Epiphany, Fr. Tony Cutcher brilliantly breaks down the information and motivations possessed by all of the characters in the Nativity story. Using this as a springboard for self-reflection, he asks: "Are we motivated to find out where Jesus is? When we have this information, are we motivated to use it to keep Christ out of our life so that we can continue to do exactly what we want to do without any interference from morality and Jesus and all of the stuff that comes with that?...We should be like the kings, motivated to spread the word, motivated to move into the lives of the people around us who need us...This is what an encounter with the Christ-child does for the kings."
